About Us
Born from courage, resilience, and commitment.
Founded from Lived Experience
Enough Is Enough was established by survivors who transformed their pain into purpose. Having walked the difficult path of recovery ourselves, we intimately understand the challenges, fears, and hopes that survivors face every day. We created the organization we wished had existed when we needed it most.
Our Story
Enough Is Enough was founded by a survivor of abuse who transformed personal pain into purpose. The organisation’s beginnings are rooted in lived experience and a deep understanding of the realities faced by women and children affected by violence. During pregnancy and early motherhood
During pregnancy and early motherhood, the founder endured an abusive relationship and later experienced sexual violence. These experiences revealed the profound gaps in support systems available to survivors, particularly during moments of extreme vulnerability. While navigating the difficult process of healing, the founder became increasingly aware that many other women and children were experiencing similar or even greater harm without access to meaningful support.
Rather than allowing trauma to define the future, the founder chose to channel personal experience into advocacy and action. Enough Is Enough emerged as part of a healing journey and as a response to the urgent need for safe, survivor-centred support within communities.
The organisation was created to ensure that survivors know they are not alone, that their experiences are valid, and that healing is possible. Enough Is Enough stands as a reminder that even in the most difficult circumstances, resilience and hope can emerge.
Today, the organisation continues to grow, driven by a commitment to support survivors, educate communities, and contribute to lasting change. The story of Enough Is Enough reflects strength, courage, and a belief in the possibility of a safer and more just future for women and children.
